Daan van Esch has graduated with an MA in Asian Studies in 2012 and now works at Google in California. The workshop will take place via a live video feed from there. Working as a Technical Program Manager in the Speech Recognition and Synthesis team, Daan is well versed in the details of working at Google. The presentation will cover a day in the life of a Google employee, give an overview of the organization, and touch upon various positions that might be interesting to humanities graduates. For those students eager to turn their academic skills into marketable ones for industry positions at tech companies like Google, this workshop will prove indispensable. The workshop will be followed by a Q&A session.
